IDC2000 Applications for Building Control
Systel's patented Energy Savings Lighting System (ESLS) concept
The remarkable results presented by the ESLS application are the combination results of the advantages provided by this SoC platform:

No additional control wiring - no modification of existing wires.
Innovative ballast using multi-channel solution - intensively reduces ballast item cost and extends lamp life.
Control of the building elements down to the level of an individual lamp in a fixture.
Embedded powerline modem further reduces PLC implementation cost, allowing command of each separate element of the lighting and HVAC system at unsurpassed low costs.
All these facts allow to dramatically lower the installation and maintenance costs while achieving the shortest ROI with the largest 5 years net $ savings in comparison to other solutions in the market ranging respectively in this study from 49% and 2.62$/sqft at 12.5 ¢/KWh to 85% and 5.8$/sqft at 21¢/Kwh when retrofitting an electromagnetic ballast system.

This Application, named the ESLS, is a Complete System Solution for Building Lighting and HVAC Management incl. other critical environmental control systems. This application is based on Systel's PLC- power line communication method, its PLC-Link protocol and the embedded modem in the IDC2000. This application provides - down to the level of a single lamp - an Interface to Utilities for Load Shedding Management.
