Systel exhibited at LightFair 09 outstanding new ESLS capabilities
At the annual Lightfair, the largest annual show in the industry. This year the Lightfair was held at the Javits Center in New York, where Systel introduced expanded capabilities of the ESLS (Energy Saving Lighting System) including the LCP - Lighting Control Panel with embedded power metering. Systel's ESLS devices were enthusiastically received by key players in the lighting industry, including representatives of leading lighting companies who have been following the progress of the IDC2000 ICs and their applications.
They expressed how impressed they were with the outstanding operation of the system working at the booth.
In the photo: The Lighting Control Panel (LCP), a building block of the ESLS with "free-cost" embedded power metering (3% accuracy) capability. This new feature, provides, in addition to the total breaker panel metering, real-time monitoring of each separate lighting branch for wise automated power consumption and demand control, as well as optimization of the programmed load shedding scenes. The working building blocks of the ESLS lighting control system shown at the exhibition included also: ESLSb dimmable addressable two channel ballasts, operating T5, T8 and CFL lamps; the Multiple Network Sensor (MNS) unit with its new added capability allowing the user to operate the system via an infrared handheld device, instead of using a dedicated wall control, and the daylight harvesting system with its self-calibrating closed loop lighting sensor.

FIRST STAGE BETA SITE IN NYC
Systel installed a first stage ESLS beta site in Manhattan. A press release will be available shortly. The ESLS, an application based on Systel's IDC2000 IC family, is a breakthrough open platform for energy saving building control with powerline communication.
The ESLS Beta Site, located in the Chanin Building
(10th Floor), 122 East 42nd Street, New York City,
utilizes dimmable powerline communication ballasts, wall controls and multiple network self-calibrated daylight harvesting and occupancy sensors, provided by Systel's OEM partners.
This system allows control from remote sites down to each element of the network (e.g. lamp, thermostat, etc.). This installation
is one of a series of ESLS beta sites to be deployed
in various configurations in several international
locations, as pilot trial sites, showcasing the system's unique properties to achieve maximum savings and load shedding capabilities.
